Greetings from Norway!
Today I want to introduce my first project from the newest collection Curiosities in Willow Grove from Vicki Boutin.

As a basis, I took a sheet from Willow Grove 12*12 paper patterns and placed a photo of my friend on the future layout.

I stitched the sheet along the perimeter with different machine stitches, straight and zigzag. I wanted the layout to look a little retro, as if it had been lying in the attic for several decades and now it has finally seen the light. I don’t know, the mood of this collection is a little vintage melancholic, in my opinion!

I put my photo in a frame that I took from the Documented frame necessities set. I glued the photo on a piece of cardboard to add some level. My next step was to build layers under my photo. I embellished around the photo adding many different elements from Willow Grove Laser cut foliage and

Willow Grove Journaling bits set. And since the layout looks a bit retro I used real vintage lace in layers.

Then i needed some kind of a description for my layout. I chose “you’re lovely” which I took from Willow Grove Chipboard bits. I also decided to place a camera, as my friend loves taking photos. It turned out very symbolic.
