It’s Valeska here, and today I’m excited to share a layout that is very close to my heart. It documents a magical day of horseback riding through the breathtaking Cotopaxi Volcano Valley in Ecuador, a place where time seems to slow down, the air feels fresher, and every direction you look reveals a scene more beautiful than the last.
To bring these memories to life, I chose the new and enchanting Whispering Way collection. This collection could not be more perfect for countryside adventures, outdoor days, and heartfelt moments surrounded by nature.
The collection’s atmosphere matched perfectly with our day at Cotopaxi, the horses, the open fields, the quiet moments, and the feeling of being embraced by nature.
For the layout, I used the Sunshine Days paper from Whispering Way 12×12 collection pack to create a circular composition to highlight two key photos from our ride. The frames from Chipboard set beautifully anchor the images while allowing the florals and animals to organically grow around them, giving the page movement and depth.
I added clusters of flowers, textured layers, and small countryside details from Laser Cut Elements and Wildflowers to evoke the beauty of the valley, its simplicity, its peacefulness, and its wide-open landscapes. The title “Wild Memories” felt just right for this experience.
At the bottom of the layout, I included the phrase: “Here, time slows and love grows deep roots.” from Chipboard Set. This perfectly expresses how I felt during our adventure — present, grateful, and surrounded by natural beauty.
