Remember this day everyday – Double layout by Adri

Hello, 49 and Market fans!
Welcome to the blog today.
I am sharing a double layout using the beautiful Flower Emporium 12×12 collection designed by Vicki Boutin. This double layout celebrates my beautiful daughter, capturing the light and warmth she brings to every moment.

For this double layout, I used the Starters Paper 1 and 5. The mix of soft woodgrain, subtle grid, and lightly textured watercolour-style backgrounds creates such a fresh, modern foundation for my photos. The neutral tones in the papers allow all the florals, laser cuts, and vellum elements to really pop.

I added word phrases and butterflies from the Essential rub-on transfer set. The title phrase “These Days” at the bottom of the right page feels like the heart of the layout, grounding it with meaning. Layered over “These Days,” the words “remember” and “everyday” celebrate the sweet, everyday magic of our photoshoot. Moments that made us smile, laugh, and will forever hold a special place in my heart. A few elements from the Blendable rub-on transfer set were also added.

The chipboard frames tucked under the clusters add extra depth, while the metal-look clips are such a fun touch. They look so realistic! The vellum flowers with the gold centres bring a touch of elegance and lightness.
To create the clusters, a combination of laser cuts, chipboard pieces, and ephemera to were used. The potted flowers add charm and enhance the garden theme, and the mix of word strips ties everything together. I painted the back of the acetate die-cut word “simple” with pink acrylic paint to coordinate with my layout’s colour palette, giving it a subtle pop while keeping the delicate transparency of the acetate.

The small plant label behind the vase is such a sweet detail and peeks out just enough to add interest and reinforces the garden theme in a very natural way. I painted the back of the two vellum butterflies with light blue acrylic paint to help them stand out more against the background. This small detail gives them a soft, delicate look while keeping the translucent look.
