October Magic – Double layout by Adri

Hello, 49 and Market fans!

Welcome to the blog today.

I am sharing a layout using the Curiosities in Willow Grove Halloween pack.
This double layout features adorable photos of my grandson in his Halloween outfit, showing off his playful personality in the cutest way, the perfect mix of cute and spooky!

For the base, I used the Grid paper as the central foundation of the design. I layered coordinating paper strips from the Curiosities in Willow Grove Halloween Pack along with pieces from the Staples Pack to build colourful borders and visual interest. All the paper edges were inked with Off The Rails Ranger Dye Ink to add an extra touch of grunge and highlight the Halloween theme.

On the background, I rubbed on some of the new Irresistible Rub-On Transfers. These white rub-ons create a beautiful resist effect, and once inked over, they reveal themselves like magic, such a fun technique to watch come alive on the page.

I used my Silhouette to cut out the spiders and spiderwebs, adding playful movement.
To build my clusters, I combined elements from the laser-cut cardstock sheet, the die-cut cardstock sheet, and the cardstock sticker sheet. Layering pumpkins, stars, labels, sentiment strips, and Halloween icons helped create dimension while framing the photos beautifully.

The cluster featuring the potion bottle adds a wonderful hint of Halloween mischief. Layered together with mushrooms, stars, tags, and sentiment strips, it creates a charming focal point full of magical detail.
I couldn’t resist adding witch hats to one of the ghosts and onto the “October Magic” title. These small, whimsical touches bring extra personality to the page and add a fun, storybook charm to the Halloween scene.

The spooky, silhouetted tree adds just the right touch of eerie atmosphere to the layout. Its twisted branches frame the photo beautifully, enhancing the Halloween theme.
The little ghosts are just too cute, and I inked their edges lightly with Off The Rails Ranger Dye Ink to help them pop.
