Hello fellow 49 and Market Friends!
It’s Nikki Sher back to show you a fun layout I made using the brand new Curiosities in Willow Grove Collection designed by Vicki Boutin. I have specifically used the Halloween Assortment Collection for this layout. And let me tell you, I am so thrilled 49 and Market has come out with a Halloween collection! I have been waiting for this one for a while.
To start any layout, I like to pick out paper that will coordinate with my photo nicely. I really wanted the green and purple to pop so I know I wanted to use the purple from the Staples Collection Pack. And the green damask pattern in the Halloween Assortment was a perfect coordinating paper.
After adding in a few additional patterns and layering the paper to my liking, I clustered some of the Laser Cut and Die Cut Elements around the photos. The great thing about this Assortment Pack is that not only does it come with twelve patterned papers, but four sheets of Laser Cuts, Die Cuts and Sticker embellishments as well.
I wanted to have an additional spooky element to my layout so I added the rub-on spider web from the Irresistible Focus Rub-On Transfers. These rub-ons are specifically made to resist color so that you can add ink or paint over the images. However, they also work great as a white rub-on on dark paper. I just love the way it turned out!
To finish up the layout, I made sure to ink all my papers with the 49 and Market Dye Inks Fossil and Off the Rails. The light gray of Fossil worked well to add an aged look to all the white outlines on the die cut elements and the dark gray of the Off the Rails looked spooky good on all the darker elements and patterned papers.
I just love how this layout came out! I am so excited 49 and Market has a Halloween Collection this year! What do you plan to make with the Curiosities in Willow Grove Collection?
