Hello, 49 and Market Friends,
Welcome to the blog today!
I have some news with the amazing Starlight dreams collection from Dennis Bruton. This is my first layout with it, and I have to say that I love everything about it.
I found this photo of my daughter walking on the beach at night with the full moon and her reflection in the water. So many incredible feelings came to my mind, how she is walking her path in such a brilliant, brave, and loving way. When I saw this collection, I knew exactly that I had to use it with this photo!
I chose Fantastical paper from the 12×12 Starlight dreams Paper Collection as the base for my layout. I was inspired by a composition of pictures on the wall to create my page.
I started by selecting the beautiful golden frames from the die cuts pack in the collection in different sizes. I left the largest one to frame the photo, and with the three smaller ones, I used paper from the 6×6 paper pack, just so I didn’t have to cut the 12×12 papers.
I separated the frames from each other, leaving a little space between them and centering them in the middle of my page. I chose the laser cut elements I wanted to use: wings and flowers, butterflies and of course the full moon.
I used foam stickers to create dimension between the die cut elements and, on the moon, and small stars, placed in a way to highlight the larger elements. I used three different titles, which represent the feelings I mentioned earlier, and I positioned them in different positions, giving more movement to the composition and intensifying each feeling in a unique way.
To finish, I diluted some gold acrylic paint with water and with a thin brush I applied splashes around the frames, on top of the flowers, as if they were the stars themselves and of course, little stars from epoxy coated stickers sheet. I loved the result, I haven’t shown it to her yet, but I think she will like it. What do you think?
