Hello fellow 49 and Market Friends!
It’s Nikki Sher back to share a fun mini album I made using the Beach Vibes Collection designed by Dennis Bruton. This collection is just perfect for documenting those summer memories. And I have the perfect trip coming up for this album!
Summer is all about lazy days, summer rays and ocean waves – right? Well, to finish off this summer, my boyfriend and I are planning a quick weekend trip to Santa Cruz, California. For those of you not familiar with Santa Cruz, think quaint surfing town with its own legendary Boardwalk – complete with the rides, candy, fried foods and perfect sunset views over the ocean.
For this mini album, I used a small chipboard album I had and created my own pages using lots of folds, flip, flaps and pockets. The 12×12 Collection Pack worked great for my cover and pages. If I’d used the smaller papers, I wouldn’t have been able to get as many folds in as I like.
To decorate the album I used the Laser Cut Elements, Chipboard Set, 6×12 Rub On Transfer Set and the 3×4 Cut Apart Sheet – Driftwood. I love cutting up these cards and turning them in to tags and pocket pieces. It really adds a lot of interaction to your album. Who can resist pulling out a tag toped with a twine bow?
Using a traveler’s notebook style binding system, I was able to fit 7 pages in this album. When all said and done, there is room for over 25 photos in this album! Doesn’t seem so “mini” anymore, does it?
