Treasure – Layout by Rebecca

Hi Friends

Welcome back to the 49 and Market blog. It’s Rebecca @preciouspagespapercraft with you today and I’m sharing my second layout created with the wonderful Cottagecore collection which was designed by the talented Dennis Bruton. When I first saw this collection I immediately noticed all the cooking elements and thought it was very ‘farmhouse kitchen’, but the more I look at this collection, the more I see. It’s like the collection that keeps on giving! When I sat down to create this second layout, I noticed all the chic garden elements and so this layout went in a totally different direction to my first, which I think demonstrates how versatile this collection is!

I absolutely adore the patterned papers in this collection because many of them can work so well for backgrounds. I selected a paper which had a brick wall effect, with subtle details around the edge. In the centre of this page, I added a torn piece of patterned paper from the 6×8 paper pad. I opted for a darker, more solid colour for contrast. On top of this, I added my photo which I’ve mounted in one of the ornate frames from the Die-Cut Elements. This is an amazing pack of embellishments which includes 73 separate elements. I’ve also selected my title from this pack.

Around my photo, I’ve created clusters using die cuts from the Laser Cut Element Set. Behind each die cut, I’ve placed foam pads to help to layer them and create some dimension. My photo is of my son sat on a rock in a theme park garden, and so I’ve selected several plant die-cuts to bring the photo to life on the layout.

To help extend the design out towards the edge of the page, I’ve added some of the Rub-On Transfers. The 49 and Market rub-ons are such amazing quality and are one of my favourite products in every release! I then finished the layout off with a couple of epoxy Wishing Bubble stickers.

I can’t wait to see what you all create with Cottagecore. Dennis has knocked it out of the park again!
