Summer Moodboard – Layout by Evy

Hello creative friends!
Summer is here, and with it a thousand fun things to do, tons of photos, and less desire to scrapbook and more to go to the beach! For me, summer is always like this, but this year especially because I moved to a city by the sea, so everything has a different feel. For this reason, I wanted a multi-photo moodboard/layout to hang in my craft room and fill with photos from these past months.
When I saw the new die in collaboration with sizzix ( Snap and Swap Pockets ), which creates the pockets, I immediately thought of a structure like this, full of pockets of different shapes and matching the beach vibes collection. I’ll post the result right away, both framed and unframed. I’ll keep it framed for the summer, and then it’ll end up in my layout album.

To begin, I die-cut the pockets using the new die and the various shape combinations. I used the 6×8 pad to include as many parts of the various “landscapes” as possible. I decided on the layout of the various pockets and the background and then chose a chipboard title for each pocket.

At this point, I had fun with the various decorations. For one pocket, I enjoyed recreating the straw umbrella effect by cutting the patterned paper into strips and then reassembling the design.

I gave continuity between the 2 pockets by placing a background Rub-ons,

And then I added so many little details: the flower lasercuts that continue the flowers in the pocket, the Rub-ons inserted into the pocket, the sun setting over the sea that emerges from the pocket… and so many more! They’re my little obsession.

Finally, thanks to the rubons mister and farmhouse, I inserted the title and the months in black to give a bit of contrast.
