Hey friends! Brianna here today and I’m so happy to share my first layout using the new and gorgeous Beach Vibes collection. This collection couldn’t have been released at a more perfect time, who doesn’t love scrapping beach photos in the summer?! It’s so hot where we live and I wish I was at the beach right now! Here’s a page documenting one of our favorite beaches, Lanikai on Oahu in Hawaii. We lived there for a few years and I miss that beach so much!!
For my photos, I ended up choosing two different ones and kept them together without trimming them out, like I usually do. I thought it was neat seeing them stacked together like that! It really made them pop. The ocean at Lanikai is light and beautiful both in person and in my photos, so the B side of the Solids Sheet 1 found in the Solids Collection Pack was the perfect foundation for my page. Soft and flowy and I love the movement on it as well.
Next, I took a piece of textured white cardstock that I had trimmed down a bit, roughed up the edges and then adhered it to the base. I pulled out the Rub-On Transfer set and selected a larger piece that would fit perfectly in the bottom left corner. The Rub-Ons in this collection are so beautiful and create some great layering bases for embellishment clusters!
To help my photos pop even more on this page, I layered a few papers from the 6×8 Collection Pack under them. I trimmed them each down to 4.50 x 6.50 so that there’d be quite a bit of the pattern peeking out from my photo after I layered them all together. Once I adhered all of the layers together I popped everything up on foam tape and adhered it to the middle of my page.
I chose one of the phrases from the Chipboard Set for my title and centered it right between my two photos. I absolutely LOVE how it looks!! Could the sky in the photos match any better with the blues in this collection?!
Next, I got to work on embellishing the rest of my page using the Laser Cut Elements, Die Cut Elements and Puffy Stickers. I arranged little clusters around my photo and tucked in some fun vintage pieces as well. The bubble stickers from the Puffy set are so cute and were great finishing touches for this beauty page.
