I am sharing another layout I created using the enchanting Nature’s Haven collection.
This layout features my sweet grandchildren’s magical afternoon in nature picking strawberries. Watching them picking strawberries together was such a sweet and simple joy, the kind of moment that reminds us of what really matters. Their laughter, curiosity, and sticky strawberry fingers made this day one to treasure. I wanted the layout to feel like a little storybook garden, full of wildflowers, butterflies, and that sense of wonder only children can bring to an afternoon outdoors.
For this layout I used the Simply Sweet paper. I layered the photo on a wood frame and gingham tabs. It complements the natural setting and the rough edges of a field or farm.
I love using banners on my layouts. The stacked banners (red polka dot, gingham, green check) are cheerful and feel like fabric ribbons fluttering in the breeze. I repeated the banners at the bottom of the photo as well. Visually, they draw the eye diagonally from the top left to the bottom right, creating a natural flow through the photo. The word phrases echo the mood of strawberry picking with the kids.
The clusters on either side of the photo were carefully built to create a lush, garden-like scene. I layered floral and foliage elements with strawberries, mushrooms, and butterflies to evoke the feeling of a wild strawberry patch. Each side mirrors the other softly, framing the photo.
Across the bottom of the photo, I created a horizontal row of elements to ground the layout. For this I used elements from the laser cut elements, wildflower and die cut sets. The wood fence and weathered wheel, nestled among greenery and florals, give the scene a rustic, storybook feel.
I love the bold and eye-catching puffy stickers included in this collection. It works wonderfully as a title.
To finish my off, I added puffy sticker phrases, tiny dots and hearts, splashes with diluted white gesso.
