Hi friends, and welcome to the 49 and Market blog!
It’s Rebecca here with you today, and I’m so excited to finally share my first layout created with the beautiful Echoes of Time collection, designed by Joanne Bain. This stunning and elegant collection is full of timeless elements with a whimsical Alice in Wonderland vibe—and, of course, plenty of gorgeous florals!

I began by selecting three circular frames from the Die-Cut Elements pack and arranging them on a sheet of white cardstock. I chose to position the largest frame at the top, cascading down to the smallest. The largest frame was backed with my photo, while the two smaller ones were backed with patterned papers from the collection.

Around the edges, I embellished with florals from the Laser Cut Wildflowers, layering two of the larger pieces and building them up with smaller blooms. To extend these clusters, I added some of the beautiful Rub-On Transfers. I love how the edges of these rub-ons fade softly into the background—they blend perfectly without looking too “blocky.”
For a playful touch, I included a few of the new Irresistible Rub-Ons, choosing some of the smaller clock designs. These rub-ons go on white and resist ink, so I grabbed my 49 and Market and Ranger Ink Pads. The shade Lavender Kisses is a perfect match for this collection. Using a blending brush, I applied the colour in soft circular motions over the irresistible rub-ons to make them pop.
Next, I diluted some of the same ink and used a brayer to apply it to my background. This is one of my favourite ways to add colour—it gives a beautifully “messy,” textured look while still allowing me to stay in control. Once the ink dried, I used a rubber stamp with the Fossil ink pad to stamp lightly around the edges of the purple ink, adding even more depth and interest.

From the Chipboard Bits, I selected the phrase Moments to remember as my title. I adhered it beneath my photo, overlapping the circular frames to help tie the entire design together.

To introduce a little more colour and balance, I added a couple of torn strips of patterned paper along the left-hand edge. Since there are darker tones in the background of my photo, I found the black-and-white striped paper complemented it beautifully.
