Hi friends, and welcome to the 49 and Market blog!
It’s Rebecca here today, sharing my first layout created with Dennis’ latest collection, Nostalgic Memories. This beautiful and versatile collection works wonderfully with a wide range of photos, and today I’ve used it to scrapbook an autumnal picture from a recent adventure with my son.

I knew I wanted this layout to have lots of layers, so I started by choosing a detailed frame from the Ephemera and Frame Pack to highlight my photo. The frame is so intricate that it instantly gives the illusion of depth and multiple layers—without any extra effort!
From there, I built up additional layers using paper strips from both the Collection Pack and the Solids Pack, mixing busy patterns with solid colours to create contrast. I tucked in various Laser Cut Elements among the layers for added interest and texture. Once everything was adhered together, I selected one of the 12″ x 12″ solid cardstocks as my background.

Before adding some of the icons from the Laser Cut Florals, I applied a few of the gorgeous Rub-On Transfers. I’ve always loved the 49 and Market rub-ons, but this set is especially beautiful and adds so much texture to the page.

For my title, I chose the word “moments” from the Chipboard Set and placed it to the left of my photo. I love how the white border helps it stand out against the busy patterned paper behind it.

To finish the layout, I added a couple of rub-on butterflies and some die-cut butterflies—adhering only the centres so the wings can lift freely for extra dimension.
