Nothing says Christmas like the new Mistletoe and Memories collection, and I loved using it to bring my grandson’s Christmas morning excitement to life on this layout.
For this layout, I used the Starters Paper 4. I love how the pre-printed blocks give structure and balance, almost like little frames waiting to be filled. It allowed me to mix photos and embellishments in a neat grid, while still having the freedom to tilt and layer for extra movement. The distressed red gives such a warm, vintage feel that complements the Christmas theme beautifully, making the whole page cozy and festive at the same time.
For the title, I chose Festive Moment from the chipboard set, which feels just right for these happy memories.
To frame and highlight the photos, I layered them with frames from the Frame Necessities set, labels, and festive accents, then decorated with beautiful laser-cut poinsettias, holly leaves, and berries to add warmth and seasonal charm. The Christmas tree, with the glowing lantern and chipboard phrase strips, really sets the tone for the festive season.
How cute is the little red truck from the Icon set, carrying a teddy bear, candy cane, and nutcracker. It feels like it drove straight out of a Christmas storybook and adds such a nostalgic touch. Just above the truck, I added a cluster of bells from the Icon die-cuts. They look as if they are ringing in celebration, completing the joyful holiday scene.
On the bottom right, I created a cluster with the green pocket, tucking in large tags from the Starters Paper 10, banners, and festive foliage for extra layers of colour and texture, almost like little surprises peeking out. just like gifts under the tree.
To add even more interest, I decorated the outside of the green pocket with a mix of elements, stickers, chipboard phrases, and festive die-cuts. These little details spill over the edge of the pocket, giving it extra depth. It is a playful touch that draws the eye to that corner of the layout.
I also added the playful Ho Ho Ho sentiment along with a row of little banners from the laser-cut elements. These details bring in a touch of whimsy and movement, echoing the joyful spirit of Christmas morning.
