Hello, 49 and Market fans!
Welcome to the blog today.
I am so excited to share my layout designed with the amazing Wanderlust Explorer collection. I love the vintage travel vibe, and it is versatile enough to work for anything from African deserts (like my Namibia photo) to cityscapes. Travel layouts are such a fun way to relive your adventures and capture all those little moments.
We visited Namibia in 2017. The Namib Desert boasts some of the world’s highest sand dunes. This is a photo of my daughter and son-in-law at Sossusvlei, a salt and clay pan surrounded by high dunes. A perfect backdrop for this photo of them.

For this layout I used the Explorer Diaries paper. I rotated the paper, and it works beautifully in portrait format. The chevron borders add energy, while the soft teal background keeps everything calm and dreamy. The doilies and ledger strips add extra texture to the paper.

I layered the photo on strips from the 6×8 Collection Pack, tags and tabs. All the edges were distressed with brown ink.

I framed the photo with laser and die cut elements, chipboard words and phrases. I used a frame from the die-cut set here.

I love the die-cut images, especially the airplane flying across the top, making the whole page feel like part of the adventure.

This collection includes stunning rub-ons. I randomly added them to my page. The final touches to this layout included wishing bubbles, and splatters with diluted white gesso.
