Brianna here and I’m back today sharing another layout using the beautiful Starlight Dreams collection. I’m really enjoying working with this collection and I hope you like this new layout:
To start, I wanted to do a bit of mixed media on my background, so I pulled out the Doily Edgers stamp from the most recent collaboration with Sizzix and stamp them on a piece of thick white cardstock using a few Distress Oxide ink pads in coordinating colors. I then smooshed each ink pad on my work surface and took some water and a paintbrush and added even more color to the stamped images. I love the watercolor look and knew it would make a soft and pretty background for my photo and embellishments to sit on top of.
Once my background was finished drying, I tore into the Solids Sheet 3 from the Solids Paper pack and adhered one piece at the top and one at the bottom of my layout. I then matted my photos using the 6×8 Papers and popped them up on foam tape. I arranged and adhered them to the center of my page and then tucked a few of the Laser Cut Elements pieces under them.
For my title, I chose a few phrase words from the Chipboard Words pack and adhered them on my photos. These photos are of my sweet girl getting ready to climb up and down this large flight of stairs so I feel that these words were perfect for them. My brave and determined girl!!
I wanted to add a few smaller pieces so I pulled a few stars from the Die Cut pack and sprinkled them around the page. I also added in a few of the butterflies from the Epoxy Stickers sheet. Lastly, I splattered some gold ink around to give the whole page a bit of sparkle.
