BOO – Layout by Marie

Hello everyone,
I am delighted to present my second inspiration for this month of September by sharing with you a layout created with the ‘HALLOWEEN ASSORTMENT PACK’ from the ‘Curiosities in WILLOW GROVE’ collection by designer Vicki Boutin. With a photograph of my grandson taken on Halloween last year.
It’s my first time staging a Halloween photo, and this pack inspired me with its colorful papers, prints and ghostly embellishments, perfect for a festive and mysterious atmosphere.

I choose a dark base paper, then I add two roughly cut papers to decorate the background. I ink the edges of the orange paper in black and I start decorating the left side with a black tree silhouette.

I then position my photo and add embellishments underneath to build the background and add details. This makeup was a first for me too. It’s scary, isn’t it? (Lol). I fell in love with these three little ghost patterns. For added appeal, I use a frame here. The orange paper is enhanced with cardboard, which allows me to then slide and layer other embellishments.

This ‘HAPPY HALLOWEEN’ is very imposing, but I thought it really belonged there. I finish by splashing white paint.
