Hey friends!
Brianna here today and I’m sharing a layout I created using the new Nostalgic Memories collection. This collection is so beautiful!!! I’m loving all of the textures in the patterned paper and the pops of the mauves, purples, deep reds and oranges among all of the neutral tones. Here’s my page:
As soon as I saw the beautiful roses all over the Forever 12×12 paper, I knew it would be the base for my page. It’s a busy pattern for my usual designs but since I was so inspired by it, I thought I would cover just a bit of it up by pairing it with the Solids Sheets 2. I trimmed the Solids Sheets 2 down to a 9.5 x 9.5″ inch square and adhered it right on top of the Forever paper. It would tone it down a little but the beautiful flowers would still be visible. The Solids Sheets 2 has a gorgeous burlap texture pattern on it and it was the perfect base for my photos and embellishments.
I then pulled out the Blendable Rub-On Transfer set and selected two of the mixed media looking rub-ons. I adhered those at a diagonal and used both as guidelines to build the rest of my page. I pulled out a couple of the doily and lace Laser Element pieces and built my first layer.
Next, I went through both the Laser Cut Ephemera and the Ephemera and Frames pack and chose a few pieces to add into my layers. While the majority of each of the pieces gets covered up, you can still see some peeking out from behind my photo.
Since I had a lot of neutrals present on my page, I wanted to add in some of the beautiful pops of color that are throughout this collection. I went through the Laser Cut Florals and selected some beautiful pieces. I tucked them into the top left and bottom right of my photo. They look so pretty and really pop off of the page!!
Lastly, I chose one of the Chipboard phrases for my title and adhered it right onto my photo. I also tucked in a bow from the Laser Cut Elements pack right underneath it. For some finishing touches, I added some gold splatters to match the whole color vibe of this page and then decided to add in a few butterflies from the Laser Cut Florals set. Here’s one last look:
