Dream – Layout by Marie

Hello everyone,

I am delighted to meet you again, to present my second inspiration for this month of October. A layout designed with the range of products from the “Echoes of Time” collection by designer Joanne Bain. In “Echoes of Time”, Joanne brings a soft touch to the steampunk style with colors like mint, pink and lavender. His collection mixes complicated machines and flower patterns, which makes the style more light and modern. The light colors and attractive details give the story a romantic and poetic side.

I selected the paper ’12 x 12 Double Sided Paper – Yesterday’, with delicate and romantic patterns. I opted for an unusual layout using a cut-out close-up of my granddaughter’s face. I place the photo in the center of the frame, slightly raised with cardboard to give it relief. A small frame is added on the left to distinguish it from the background paper. The ‘Laser Cut Elements’ package contains images and animals, including this charming rabbit.

To personalize my layout, I create a top hat in the paper “12 x 12 Double Sided Paper – Purple Love”, which I elevate with cardboard before decorating it with steampunk patterns, flowers and leaves. I also add rub-on transfers to adorn the background.

To bring more details to the composition, I add an elegant owl on my granddaughter’s shoulders, carefully positioned to give the illusion that it is placed there. On the left side, I also integrate dies-cuts; although the background of the paper is loaded, these elements stand out thanks to their relief collage. These dies-cuts, illustrating bouquets of flowers, are distinguished by their great finesse and elegance. To finish, I add the chipboard element ‘Dream’ which stands out for its clarity.

I love this collection, elegant and timeless.
