Bloom & Grow – Layout by Michelle Lee

Hello, Everyone!
Today I hope to inspire you with my newest layout that I created using the gorgeous Krafty Garden Collection.I chose to use the Engaging Florals and Iridescent Vines papers for this layout. I think they went so well with the photo I had.

To start I ripped the Engaging Florals paper in half, then ripped a section of the Iridescent Vines paper and tucked it with the B side showing between the first paper. I cut a piece of lace from the Essential Trims Pack in Natural, distressing it with my scissors a bit. After I tucked it between my ripped paper layers I glued everything together. Next I started building layers under my photo with pieces from the Laser Cut Elements pack, gluing thin pieces of cardboard between some of the layers for added dimension.

After gluing the layered photo mat to my background I concentrated on my flower clusters. I chose Rustic Blooms and Rustic Bouquet in Marigold, as well as a pack of Florets in Amber. I had a couple random daisy flowers that matched the papers perfectly so I threw them in too. From the Laser Cut Elements pack I pulled the pocket watch and some stamps to tuck into my larger cluster.

For my second cluster I layered a few more pieces from the Laser Cut Elements pack, then mounted it on thin cardboard . Next I layered my flowers alongside it, tucking in a couple metal embellishments that I had. Then I decided there needed to be another smaller flower cluster by the upper corner of the photo. Once the clusters were all down I added a bit more detail tby going around the design with some of the rub ons from the Essentials Rub on Transfers pack. For more texture and interest I added a few pearls and yellow sequins to the design. As a finishing touch I then added some splatters of white acrylic paint.
