Hello, Everyone!
Today I’m here to inspire you with the oh so gorgeous Color Swatch Teracotta Collection. I chose papers 1 and 2 from the collection as my base. I love the tones in this collection and I think they worked well with my photo.
I started by cutting paper 2 down to the size I need for my design. I distressed the edges, then glued a large piece of thin cardboard to the back for dimension, and glued it to paper 1 for my background. Then I began building my layers under the photo. For that I grabbed a few different pieces from the Color Swatch Teracotta Ephemera Stackers pack. Once I was happy with the layers I glued them together, then mounted them on a thin piece of cardboard for even more dimension.
I then began building my flower clusters. I began by making three small doilies using the Essentials Trim in Natural, using the doilies as a bed for each cluster. I chose the Wildflowers flower pack in Plum to compliment the beautiful Teracotta papers. I also pulled some leaves, tickets, butterflies, and buttons from the Color Swatch Teracotta Laser Cut Elements pack to work into the clusters. Finishing off the clusters with a few pearls.
I decided the design needed a bit more so I grabbed a pack of the Teracotta Rub-on Transfer set, adding them randomly around the photo and flower clusters. They are the perfect way to add interest to a design I think.
