Hey friends!
Brianna Lepper here today and I’m so excited to share my first layout using the gorgeous Color Swatch Teal collection. It’s so stunning and I really enjoyed adding lots of layers to my page.
To start, I went through the patterned papers and chose the B side of Paper 1 as my background. I added a little bit of white paint to soften it up some. I then took a long strip of one of the repositionable fabric tapes and added it to the left side of my page. I also took the widest one and added a piece on the right side. I knew that I wanted my photo, title and main embellishments on the left side, with a supporting embellishment cluster on the right side.
Next, I started my favorite part, adding a lot of layers!!! There are so many great embellishments in this collection and they’re perfect for layering! I started to build right on top of that amazing fabric tape by adding a piece of white cardstock that I tore into to create a nice rough edge. I also ink blended on it using the Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink pad. Next, I added a strip of the narrow fabric tape and staggered in a few of the cardstock frames. I matted my photo using one of the 6×8 patterned papers and popped it up on foam tape. The laser cut elements are one of my favorite embellishments and I really enjoyed tucking them into all of the nooks and crannies. Check out all of the dimension:
For the right side of my page, I built up another cluster and pulled in some of the ephemera stackers as well. I basically mirrored what was on the left side of my page to make sure that the viewers eye went around the entire layout.
I documented a photo of my sweet girl and this collection was perfect for it! I am a HUGE fan of monochromatic layouts so creating this page with this collection was a lot of fun. Here’s one last look:
