Hey fellow crafters,
Nicole here with a new layout using the Vintage Artistry Countryside collection and more.
The first thing that I did for this layout was to choose my background which is the Countryside Radiance paper. I also used the branding strip for this paper as well by fussy cutting the three little bees from it and distressing the rest for my layout. I wanted to create an “L” shaped layout for this project. I decided to use some tapes from the Countryside Repositionable Fabric Tape, part of the branding strip, Countryside 4″ Washi Chickenwire, and some Pewter Ticket Essentials.
I matted my photos with black cardstock from my stash and distressed them. I placed them on my layout where I wanted them to go but did not adhere to them just yet. I first wanted to add some more interest to the background by using the Essential Textblends Rub On Transfers in Pewter around my photos first. I just applied them in random spots.
I then started my “auditioning” of embellishments. Auditioning is when you begin to place embellishments around your layout to see if you like them there, but not adhering them until you know they are perfect. I used some leaves and flowers from the Countryside Laser Cut Wildflowers and some little bits from the Countryside ephemera bits.
I brought in a flower from the Sunflower Paper Flowers in Amber to add a finishing touch around my title. When all of my auditioning was done I glued everything down with Art Glitter Glue or with foam square pop-ups. I added some journaling just to the right of my title. I accidentally wrote on the rub on transfer which didn’t take the marker that I was using so I used a big fat sharpie which made that part super bold, pops, oh well, it’s handmade by me and I learned what not to do in the future.
I hope you will enjoy the video:
