I’m back again to share another project with you. Once again using the fabulous Vintage Artistry Nature Study collection. I love all of the collections that 49 and Market creates, but I have to say that Nature Study is one of my all time favorites!
For the background, I have first used ‘Etchings’ from the Nature Study 12×12 Collection Pack. I separated that from the Colored Foundations 2 with a piece of brown cardstock, twice, to create the framing around the composition. I used the brown frame from the Ultimate Page Kit to build the composition on. I cut some pieces of the frame out in the middle where the photo sits, and used them in the corners to complete the frame outlining the layout. To finish off the frame behind the composition, I added a screw from the Cluster Kit on each of the corners. Along the left side are elements from the Ultimate Page Kit. I followed one of the examples with the elements used for it, with the exception of the butterfly from the Wing Elements, and the leaves from the Cluster Kit.
Here, completing the left side, I also used the elements from the Ultimate Page Kit. I kept the title small, mainly because I used the large title “Details” (from the example) on another project. But I loved the design on the example, so I decided to try to incorporate it as best I could.
The photo was matted first with a piece from the Cluster Kit. Then I placed the striped piece from the Ultimate Page Kit on top of that with a small lined card tucked in on the side. I took a piece of the Filmstrip Frames and placed it directly on top of the photo to frame the woman. Lots of frames on this layout, what’s one more?
I placed a little grouping of mushrooms on the right of the photo. The twigs up top are from the Cluster Kit. Leaves are from the Ultimate Page Kit. Mushrooms from the Mushroom and Foliage Laser Cut elements, and the butterfly from the Wing Elements. I really like how this little cluster not only lends to the overall theme of the layout but also balances out the composition.
