Hi everyone!
So glad you stopped by today. I absolutely love the ARToptions Rouge Collection! And, as you can see, I love the Filmstrip Frames… a lot!! This whole collection is beautifully co-ordinated, it’s so easy to use and create with. This layout is a little different from my usual style, but different is good, and I like trying different things. Keeps me sharp!

I used Rouge Colored Foundations 2 for the background paper. It was the perfect background to place all these filmstrips on. I used 9 filmstrips on this project. There are 30 assorted filmstrips and frames in the Filmstrips Frames package, more than enough with plenty left for other projects. I first figured out where I wanted the filmstrips to be, then glued them all down before I started the composition. This seemed to be the easiest way to do this, keeping them in place and not squiggling around everywhere while I figured where I wanted all the embellies to go!! After the background was finished I placed pieces from the Rouge Ephemera Bits to frame the photo with a little word strip to accent that area. I tilted the photo slightly so it stood out better since the colors in the photo and the composition are so similar Then I used a few of the Rouge Laser Cut Wildflowers tucked in under the left of the photo.

I carried the floral cluster down the left, and under the photo, using more of the Laser Cut Wildflowers. I added 2 Royal Spray Passion Pink flowers on top of the Wildflowers at the corner of the photo for dimension, and because they are so pretty.

Here at the bottom I placed a couple more Filmstrip Frames to draw the eye down the page and to balance out the filmstrips at the top of the layout.

Coming to the title area, I placed a long solid filmstrip here for the title to rest on. The title is from 2Crafty. I just painted it with white acrylic paint so it would pop. I placed a little word strip under the main title from the Laser Cut Elements pack to finish off the title. I then added more flowers on the right of the title from the Laser Cut Wildflowers with a bow from the Laser Cut Elements package. I thought the area around the filmstrips underneath the bow needed some filling in, so I put a couple butterflies there, also from the Laser Cut Elements. Above the title to fill in that area, I placed more of the Wildflowers and 2 more butterflies. I think when you create a background with mostly horizontal strips, like this one, you need to kind of soften and round out the edges where the strips intersect with plenty of flowers, leaves and such so that the background stays in the background.
