Today I’ve created a fun layout of my Granddaughter Cadence, our own little Sk8ter Girl. She loves to try out her roller-skates and skateboard whenever she can and now she’s even a keen surfer!!
I used ARToptions Alena for most of this layout. To start off I stuck the Curators Essential Key Lined Chipboard Frame to my photo. They’re adhesive and I love that. I cut any excess photo from around the frame, then matted it to some pink card from the ARToptions Alena – 6×8 Collection Pack and set it aside for a moment. I trimmed a small amount of paper from the ARToptions Alena – Exquisite from the 12×12 Collection Pack and stuck it to the Flirty piece of paper from the same pack so a small frame of pink can be seen framing the main paper. I did stick some more 6×8 papers to the base page but once my page was complete you can hardly see them. I then applied a few layers of foam tape to the centre back of my main photo and adhered it to the centre left of the page. I only apply tape to the centre back so that I can tuck more goodies behind the main photo if I wish. If the piece need more securing once I finished I will add more adhesive.
To the right of the photo I stuck down some Vintage Bits Lace Washi – Salsa and later added some to the bottom left of the layout.
I mounted ARToptions Alena – Ephemera Bits, behind and around the main photo. Added some curve to the lace from ARToptions Alena – Laser Cut Outs and glued that underneath the photo along with the laser cut elastic across the photo from the same pack.
Tucked pieces of the Key Lined Frames behind also, along with strips of Vintage Bits Essential Filmstrips – Fern, tickets from the Ticket Essentials – Sage.
Chipboard tabs to the right of the photo, along with frames, words, and tags from ARToptions Alena – Chipboard Pieces. I then used hot glue to adhere the flowers. As usual, I just played and tucked until I was happy with the placement. To finish off I stuck the ‘Hello’ word from ARToptions Plum Grove – Chipboard Word Set.
