Hello, 49 and Market Friends,
That moment we love working with collections that have just arrived. What a collection! In love with the ArtOptions Spice color palette and all fall elements. I really love fall, it is my favorite season of the year.
When thinking about what I would do with it, I chose a layout that could have a little bit of all the colors. I recorded the whole creative process on YouTube for you, so I hope you enjoy it.
I chose the Spun Golden paper from the 12×12 collection to be the basis of my layout. The leaves on the sides would help me compose my sketch well.
I started by adding more color to the middle of the paper with the 6×8 Rub-ons Set. I chose spots in orange, pink and turquoise and placed them diagonally.
I chose elements from the Ephemera bits pack to use as a base for my photos and worked in layers by gluing the papers together with scraps of cardboard and sticker foam. I used the filmstrips frames too as a base, Spice laser cut elements and some of Spice Cluster Kit.
I chose flowers, pumpkins and leaves to decorate around my lap. Always in layers, to intensify the depth and relief of the Laser Cut and Wildflower Laser Cut elements.
I used the title Pumpkins together from the Chipboard word set to record the moment when the pumpkins were harvested. These photos are of a dear friend with her son on a farm in Texas. I just loved the composition of the photos with the beauty of the collection. I’ve added some sentiment phrases from the ephemera bits too.
To finish off, I love applying the enamel dots that come in the Cluster Kit, these are orange, perfect for a soft, delicate texture. To top it off, I made a splash of very soft white paint, creating a union between the elements and making my page more harmonious.
