Hello everyone,
I’d like to introduce you to my second project for September. I was very tempted to use these new spiral-bound books to make a mini souvenir book with some of my vacation photos from this summer. I love the shimmering hues of this warm and cheerful collection. I used about ten 7.5 cm X 10 cm photos.
For my presentation photo, I chose this one, all pink with my granddaughter in the photo, which blends in so well with the Hawaiian decor. Since the background was plain, I was able to use a lot of rub-on transfer.
Inadvertently, for a start, I didn’t use the book cover. Fortunately, nothing shocks in scrapbooking (lol). I’d already gone too far by the time I realized it, so I left it as is. As with all collections, the choice of embellishments is vast and makes for lovely layers of decor.
Here I’ve used an envelope pocket from the vintage-artistry-sunburst-cluster-kit set. Throughout the book, lots of filmstrips add a nice touch to the decor.
I proceeded in the same way on each page, adding rub-on transfers, filmstrip, ephemera bits, and laser-cut elements. Here I thought I’d end up with a cover, but then I realized there was one last page.
Don’t panic, on this page, I used a cluster from the kit, they’re so well designed. On the back cover, I added two strips of washi tape. Throughout the pages, these pretty “bubbles” are found in the kit.
