Hello everyone & welcome back to the 49 and Market blog.
It’s Julie with you today & I’m sharing a layout made with the Summer Porch collection. I still have photos of last years holiday & this collection is perfect to get some of them created & in my albums.
My base paper is out of the page kit. I love these packs as a lot of the base work, mixed media, is already done & you can set about just embellishing the page. There was already a circle on this page so I followed that & cut out lots of strips from different papers from the 6×8 paper pack, distressed the edges & added them all around the circle as shown.
I glued a few word strips, out the ephemera bits, to some of the strips & then machine stitched into place following the circle.
I set my 2 photos, horizontally, onto papers & built up a photo mat, adding in tabs, stamps, frames & some twine wrapped around the bottom photo.
On the bottom right of the lower photo I placed a couple of boats, out the By the Sea Laser Cut Elements, that went perfectly with my photos & a laser cut rope piece & the ‘One Fine Day’ title.
A few rub ons, out the Blendable & Essentials packs, gave the page the finishing touch.
