On The Road – Layout by Julie

Hello Everyone
This is my first blog post for 49th and Market & I’m so excited to be here sharing my pages & hopefully inspiring a few of you. I’m using the new Wherever collection for my layout. It’s a lovely travel collection & has aspects of all travel, car journeys, plane rides, hot air balloons, trains, really an eclectic mix that will suit anywhere & any form of travel you take.

I used paper #3 from the Wherever Solids collection pack as my background & using 3 small photos made up a staggered grid in the centre of my page. I backed the photos with papers from the 6×8 collection pack, choosing different tones for each one & made each photo its own small cluster adding ephemera bits, chipboard bits & laser cut elements.

To tie the photos together I’ve added in a couple of the acetate frames & positioned them across the photos & elements & on the right side I’ve die cut a view master reel, again using patterned paper from the 6×8 collection pack, & adhered that to link the top & bottom right photos.

I added some strips, at the top of the page, to draw your eye up & added the date & where we were on a tag out the laser cut element pack.
The acetate assortment pack contains extra pieces, other than just the frames & film strips, & I’ve used one of the quotes, attached to a tag to make up the 4th part of my grid.

The solid cardstock collection paper I used for my background already had some subtle inking printed on but I further enhanced it by adding some of the Wherever Ride rub-on transfers. These are just amazing & transfer perfectly every time with hardly any rubbing!!! Think these have to be my favourite product from 49th and Market. The On The Road title is also from the rub-on transfer sheet & I cut out the letters individually to enable me to curve it around the viewfinder.

49 and Market Products:

Thanks for joining me today & I look forward to seeing all your creations with this gorgeous collection.
