Hello everyone, and welcome to the 49 and Market Blog.
Today I am sharing a layout depicting the serenity of going home to the country life using the gorgeous Vintage Artistry Countryside Collection. This collection is full of fun elements from chickens and ducks, to bees and milk jugs! Everything you could need to create beautiful farm friendly, country inspired projects! I kind of live close to the country, so this collection resonates with me. I hope you like this layout.
I used Sunset Bloom from the Countryside Collection Pack for my background. I love the green and yellow which gave the perfect background for this layout. Starting at the upper left, I matted the photo with pieces from the Countryside Ephemera Bits. Then I used the fabulous rub-on leaves from the 12×12 Countryside Rub-On Transfer Sheet. These rub-ons are so easy to use and are so beautiful. I cut the rub-on next to the photo out from the paper just enough so I could have it lay over the photo stack just a little, then I used them all the way down the side of the photo. I placed Enchanted Petals Sunshine and Mint, with a little flower from the Royal Spray Ivory pack on top of the leaves. I painted the stamens of the Ivory flowers throughout the layout with paint to give added dimension to them.
Here you can see the picket fence and the bicycle from the Countryside Laser Cut Elements package. So cute, adding a little more country flair. For the title, I chose the word “Home” from the Countryside Chipboard Word Set. I added a small chipboard word, ‘journey’, from 2Crafty to complete the title. The shading with the leaves under the fence, bike, and title is from the 12×12 Countryside Color Wash Rub-On Transfer Sheet. So, so beautiful to add depth and color! Under the bike I placed a small Chicken wire Rub-on from the Countryside Rub-On Transfer Set, then placed a couple butterflies from the Countryside Laser Cut Wildflowers set. This package of laser cuts is absolutely FULL of flowers and butterflies, leaves and bees! Love it!
Here is the bottom right corner of the layout. I used elements from the Laser Cut Elements Set and the Laser Cut Wildflowers set to create a little sampling of what you would find out in the country. I think this balances out the composition of the layout and adds added interest to the theme.
Finally, going full circle, this is the top right of the layout. Here I also used rub-ons from the 12×12 Countryside Rub-on Transfer Sheet. (I love them!) I used the same flowers as on the left with the same little Chicken wire transfer. After the flowers were glued down I placed the sign from the Laser Cut Elements Set over the yellow one overlapping the photo a little bit.
And it’s finished. I hope you like my take on the Countryside Collection. I had so much fun making this. Until next time, keep your craft on!
