Grateful – Layout by Rebecca

Hi Friends,

I’m so excited to be on the blog today, sharing my first creation using the beautiful Cottagecore Collection by Dennis Bruton. It’s a stunning collection which gives off traditional farmhouse vibes.

I selected one of the patterned papers for my background. I love the subtle papers with edge detailing – they leave the perfect space in the centre to create your design. I positioned my two photos centrally, after housing them in a pair of stacked frames from the Vintage Orchard collection (perfect colour match by the way!). Behind my photos, I layered a 6×8 patterned paper along with a couple of frames from the Die-Cut Elements. I also backed a third frame with a woodgrain patterned paper from the 6×8 paper pad. On top of this frame, I adhered my title. I’ve used one of the Die-Cut words and have raised it up on foam to help build some dimension.

Around my photos and frames, I’ve embellished with the Laser Cut Elements, selecting items to work with my photos. I adore how these elements are designed like individual clusters – it makes the task of embellishing that little bit easier for me as a lot of the work has been done! I’ve also included a couple of smaller elements from the Die-Cut Elements. I like to place foam pads behind my Die-Cuts so that I can layer them and create clusters easier.

With all my embellishments in place, I was ready to add some more detail to my background by means of the amazing Blendable Rub-On Transfers. Again, these have been designed in a way which means a lot of the work has been done, and a few go a long way. I added the rub-ons in a diagonal design, running from corner to corner, through my photos.

I finished off the layout with the addition of some Epoxy Coated Stickers, and some torn Washi Sheet to the outer edges of the page.
