Hello, 49 and Market Friends,
Today it’s me Valeska here on the blog with the beautiful Color Swatch Ochre collection. Shades of yellow are the protagonists, but you can combine it with other collections too, so you have more possibilities for your creations.
I made a 12×12 layout and used the Color Swatch Paper 4 and Paper 2 . I chose four photos of my daughter and printed them in 3×4 inch format, using the frames from the collection to make them even more beautiful.
That day she was happy because, after a month’s wait, the collection of books that she had been waiting for had arrived.
First, I cut the paper 2 to 8″ x 8″ 1/2 inches, sewed the edges of the paper and applied Rub on Transfers from the Krafty Garden collection (they match perfectly with the Ochre collection). I glued the prepared paper 2 on top of the paper 4 with foam stickers to give height and dimension. I positioned the paper more centrally, leaving 1/2 inch from the top edge. I used the beautiful boarders from the Laser Cuts package, sewed them and glued them on top of the paper 2.
I used the new set of stamps and dies from Sizzix and 49and Market designed by Katie Pertiet, which is Engraved Wings. I used white pigment paint on vellum paper and then cut it with the metal die. I cut two of each model and glued them one over the other, raising the wings, giving the butterflies even more relief.
I made some arrangements of elements with Laser cuts and pasted flowers on both sides of the photos, using foam sticker to create layers and give them even more dimension.
I also used the Hello You Sentiments stamp set to stamp my title “Celebrate every moment” between the photos with Versafine sepia. I stamped a few splashes of paint with distress oxide Scattered straw, which matched well with the tone of the collection. I loved this immense possibility of creating with stamps and change, it’s incredible.
Finishing my layout, I made some white acrylic paint splashes around the elements. Love this effect!
