Hello Lovies
I am back on the blog today to share my latest project, a double page Art Journal layout using the gorgeous Spectrum Gardenia collection mixed with a few elements from the Viken collection. Each collection is so versatile that it allows you to mix and match them so perfectly.
I started off by securing a piece of my all-time favourite Curators Essential Wings Washi tape down the centre of both pages. I used the Spectrum Gardenia Classics – Violaceous sheet and cut elements from the reverse side of this sheet together with tabs, tickets and frames from the Spectrum Gardenia Ephemera Bits to position across both pages. I overlapped some of the elements and turned them in different directions to add some interest to the composition.
Once everything had been secured to the pages, I applied a thin layer of clear gesso over everything and then added some stencilling and watercolours and dry brushed both pages with some white gesso to blend everything.
I added the window frame from the ARToptions Viken Ephemera Bits to the left of the page, a distressed photo mat from the Spectrum Gardenia Classics Violaceous paper and secured my photo.
I then added some rub-on transfers from the Essentials Textblends Rub-on Transfers Eggplant and the title from the Spectrum Gardenia 12×12 Sentiments Rub-on Transfer Sheet.
I finished off the project by adding some leaves and flower rub-ons from ARToptions Viken 6×8 rub-on transfer set and the Spectrum Gardenia 6×8 leaves rub-on transfer set.
