In a world bustling with modernity, the art of connecting with nature has never been more important. The Vintage Artistry Nature Study collection, with its breathtaking assortment of foliage, butterflies, and elements of nature, allows us to rekindle that connection while indulging in timeless beauty. For this blog post, I wanted to embark on a journey to explore the mesmerizing world of this collection and how it inspired me to create three canvasses that not only harmoniously blend with each other but also beckon us to remain curious about the wonder of the natural world.
I chose some paper from the 12×12 Vintage Artistry Nature Study Collection Pack and Foundations Pack which led me on my journey to create an artistic endeavour that not only spoke to the soul but whispered the necessity of staying connected to mother nature while nurturing an unquenchable curiosity. The colour palette I used for this project isn’t just visually appealing; they evoke a sense of tranquillity, inviting us to immerse ourselves in the serenity of nature.
The delicate elements that I carefully selected from the Vintage Artistry Nature Study Laser Cut Mushrooms and Foliage alive with various shades of green and blue, and the exquisite flowers from Wildflowers Celery Paper flowers and the Rustic Bouquet Bluejay, danced gracefully across the canvas.
Moving seamlessly from one canvas to the next, I explored the vibrant shades of blue and green intertwined to bring the project to life, using elements from the Vintage Artistry Ephemera Bits and the nature study specimen acetate portraying the delicate balance between order and chaos that nature effortlessly maintains. And, because no project is complete without adding some of the gorgeous rub-ons, I finished the project by adorning the canvasses with subtle yet striking rub-ons from the Vintage Artistry Nature Study 12×12 Sentiments and 6×8 Mushroom rub-on transfers.
Through this trio of canvasses, I wanted to convey a timeless message — the importance of staying connected with Mother Nature while retaining our sense of curiosity and wonder. Nature, in its essence, is a captivating masterpiece, and our curiosity fuels the exploration of its secrets.
