Hello Lovely Ladies
Today I am joining you on the 49 and Market Blog to share my latest OTP project – a double canvas using the absolutely gorgeous newly released ArtOptions Rouge Collection. This collection boasts beautiful bold flowers that in my opinion called for a big bold project.
I had the photos I used waiting in my stash for the perfect paper collection and ArtOptions Rouge was the perfect match.
I started by priming the canvas with white gesso and then adding some pink watercolours across the centre of the canvas and a tiny bit on the bottom left and top right-hand side.
I cut two chipboard circles and covered the bigger one with ArtOptions Rouge Infatuation paper and the smaller one with ArtOptions Rouge coloured foundations 1 paper from the foundations paper pack.
I wrapped some string around the smaller circle to add some interest.
I applied some of the beautiful flowers and leaves rub-ons from the ArtOptions 12×12 Rouge rub-on transfer sheet to the left and right side of the canvas so that it would extend beyond the photos.
I used frames from the ArtOptions Rouge laser cut elements and the ArtOptions Fussy cut sheet from the collection pack for the photos. Additional elements from the ArtOptions Rouge laser cut elements and the ArtOptions Rouge filmstrips were used to create clusters for the smaller photos on either side of the circles.
Once everything had been secured to the canvas using foam tape and silicone glue to create a 3D dimensional look, I added the title from the ArtOptions 12×12 Rouge sentiments rub-on transfer sheet. Two little clusters were created on the bottom left and top right to add more interest to the whole composition of the project. Added some stitching on the top corner and right side of the canvas from the ArtOptions Rouge rub-on transfer set 6×8 and finished the project by adding some Royal Spray Bashful flowers and an aged silver metal index clip to the main photo.
