Hello all,
Nicole here with my first layout of the month. I wanted to bring some pink to the Christmas holiday so I decided to mix the Evergreen Season collection with the Color Swatch Blossom collection as well as some flowers. I am documenting my family’s advent calendars for this year.
I started by using a scrap paper to make a template for my Christmas tree. I folded it in half and drew half of a whimsical Christmas Tree and then cut it out. I then traced it on the Blossom Paper #2 and cut it out. At first I wanted to use the patterned side of Paper #2, but then decided to use the floral side instead. I then took the Paper #2 cut out and loosely traced it on the lighter side of the Evergreen Season Solid green paper. I then cut that out making sure to make it bigger than my line so that I can use it as a mat.
I popped up both papers onto the blue solid paper along with my photo. Then it was time to embellish. I started with 2 clusters: one in the upper right of the tree and one to the left of the photo. I added Salsa Nature’s Bounty and Bashful Royal Spray to these clusters. I then added some elements from the Evergreen Season Wildflowers Laser Cuts to the clusters as well. I added rub-ons from the Blossom 6×8 pack as well as some from the Evergreen Season Botanical Rub-ons.
I finished my page by adding the title with the Farmhouse Rub-On Transfers and then decided I needed a little cluster there as well. I repeated my steps above for embellishing. I added some white splatters and my page was complete.
