It’s Rebecca here with you today, sharing my latest layout. I’m completely in love with the Botanical Buzz collection and simply couldn’t resist creating another project with this stunning range.
To get started, I chose a patterned paper for my background—one with subtle hexagon designs, perfect for pairing with the hexagon frames from the Die Cut Elements. I added some metallic gold and white splatters to the centre of the page for extra texture and set it aside to dry.
Next, I selected three hexagonal frames. I backed two with patterned papers from the 6×8 Paper Pad, and placed my photo behind the largest one. The photo is a recent shot of my son hugging a bronze cheetah at the zoo. I chose it not just because the colours work beautifully with this collection, but also because I found the perfect title in the chipboard words—Wild & Free.
I arranged the hexagons in the centre of my dried background and tucked four small tags from the Die Cut Elements behind them, peeking out from above and below for added layers and dimension. To the left of the photo, I added the Wild & Free chipboard title and extended it with one of the Puffy Sticker words placed along the bottom edge of the photo.
Behind the frames, I began layering some delicate florals and two small pieces of woodgrain fence from the Laser Cut Elements. I love the rustic charm the fence adds! Rather than using a full strip that would be hidden, I simply cut two small sections and tucked them on either side, reserving the rest for future projects!
To bring in even more hexagonal elements, I added a few of the overlapping hexagons from the Puffy Stickers pack. I love how they add texture and interest to the layout.
To finish it off, I applied some rub-on transfers to the background. I adore how seamlessly they blend in while adding so much detail and depth. Finally, I added a few more white splatters to bring everything together.
