Hello everyone & welcome back to the 49 and Market blog.
Julie with you today sharing a layout using a brand new collection, Beach Vibes from Dennis Bruton. It’s full of fabulous beachy images, wood pieces & lots of waves, just great for all those holiday photos we all take.
I started with a patterned paper out the 12×12 collection pack, the colours of it were just perfect as it looks like it has the sky at the top, beach in between & the sea at the bottom.
Around the page I did a bit of subtle stamping using Sizzix 666704 stamps to add the script.
I built my photo cluster up, off the page so I would know where to stitch my sunburst.
I added the sunburst for some extra colour & give texture to my page. Once sewn I tore a couple of papers, out the 6×8 paper pack & added those as a ‘shelf’ for my photo cluster to sit on. By distressing & curling the edges of these papers they gave the image of the sand.
To add more texture I placed some hessian net under the papers & added an ephemera cluster on that edge of the photo. The washi tape waves, placed at the bottom of the photo, added a subtle but interesting finish.
I’ve elongated the right cluster by adding some tickets, out the Die Cuts Elements pack & built up the larger cluster underneath with Die Cuts, Laser Cut Elements & the chipboard Word title.
I’ve added a few of the Rub On Transfers to add interest around the page.
