Hey friends!
Brianna Estrella here, and I’ve been waiting to be able to share this new layout with y’all! I used the new and absolutely stunning Vicki Boutin Flower Emporium collection to document a sweet photo of my daughter walking in the park. The flowers in the tree in front of her were in bloom, and it was the perfect photo to go with this collection. Here’s my page:
I couldn’t resist painting a mixed media background for this collection, so I took a variety of Shimmerz Paints sprays from my stash and sprayed them on in rainbow order. They created the perfect foundation for my photos and embellishments. After my background was finished drying, I took the 12×12 Paper Pad and tore out the paper with all of the large florals on it. I fussy cut several of them out so that I could use them on my page. I matted my photo using one of the 6×8 papers and then arranged the fussy cut florals around it. They’re so pretty!!
Next, I went through the Icon Ephemera Bits and pulled out a few hearts and butterfly pieces. I embellished those tone on tone and matched them with my background and the flowers. I also pulled in a floral piece from the Laser Cut Elements pack and adhered that right on top of my photo. I love how it looks!!
For my title, I chose a phrase from the Puffy Stickers pack, and let me tell you.. I need about 3 more sets of these stickers. They are amazing! I even pulled in a few of the small hearts and scattered those around the page as well. Lastly, I wanted to add more patterned paper to the layout, so I went through the 12×12 Paper Pad again and selected the striped pattern. I tore into my layout, distressed the edges, and then adhered it to that striped paper. To tie in more of the black from the collection, I ran the page through my sewing machine using black thread, and that looked just completed the layout. Here’s one more photo:
