Rebecca here, and I’m thrilled to share my very first layout created with the One Perfect Day collection, designed by the incredibly talented Joanne Bains. This collection is absolutely stunning, packed with beautiful, wedding-themed elements. Since I’ve never scrapped my wedding photos, I couldn’t wait to dive in and get started!
To begin, I tore sections of my favorite patterned paper and paired it with a coordinating solid paper. I layered these pieces horizontally across the center of the page. I love the texture the torn edges add to the design. However, I wasn’t too fond of the straight edge at the top, so I decided to tear a strip from the floral section of the Washi Sheet and placed it just above the patterned paper to soften the edge.
Next, I selected a vintage circular frame from the Laser Cuts and backed the center with my photo. To add dimension, I placed some craft foam behind the frame. I positioned the framed photo slightly off-center on the right side of the page, balancing the layout by adding my title to the left. My title consists of one of the Chipboard Words combined with a cardstock word from the Die Cut Elements.
With my photo and title in place, it was time to embellish! This is one of my favorite parts of creating a layout because the 49 and Market collections offer so many beautiful elements. It truly feels like Christmas as I rummage through the packs, selecting pieces to incorporate!
I began with the Wildflower Laser Cuts — they are simply gorgeous! I created floral clusters in three areas of the page, forming a visual triangle around the photo. I added a sweet little chapel die cut to the right of the photo, as it was taken just outside the church where we were married. To enhance these clusters, I layered in additional Laser Cut elements, along with tags and hearts from the Die Cut Elements.
To finish the page, I added a few simple paper flowers, using the smallest blooms from the Royal Posies – Olive pack.
