Hello, 49 and Market Friends,
Welcome to the blog! Today I want to share with you my first layout with the beautiful Color Swatch Terracotta collection. I have to say I love this color! I find it very cozy, strong but light at the same time and it gives me a feeling of warmth and love.
Nothing could be fairer than using this collection to convey a little of these feelings through my photos too. Memories of a happy day in Arequipa, Peru’s historic city, where we visited the Convent of Santa Catalina, with its walls full of flowers and history.
First, I wanted to highlight the elements and rub ons of the collection, so I chose a white cardstock as the main background but left a half frame at the top left of my page with the No. 1 paper from Collection Pack with its striped part up. I sewed my white cardstock to the terracotta paper and began to position my rub ons where my photos and elements, such as ephemera and laser cuts, would be.
I used the Frame Set from the Terracotta collection to frame my photos and also a piece of ephemera, you can use 3 photos if you want, this kind of sketch can be perfect. I applied a few layers of ephemera before gluing my photos down.
I used foam sticker to give height to the frames, leaving one above the other and achieving a depth effect.
To decorate around the photos, I used acetate sheets from Acetate Assortment. This acetate effect is really beautiful, it gives a slight touch of color to the page while leaving the transparency of the layers underneath. And the laser cuts are the perfect complement, adding more terracotta tones to my design.
I chose the word Moments from Chipboard Words in the Vintage Orchard collection, which also has some terracotta tones. Which would also be perfect for combining the two in cozy autumn tones. I also completed my title with rub on.
To finish, I used the enamel dots that come in the Essential Project Tote. As well as being wonderful for storing all the packs in my collection, it makes it easier for me to find everything in one place.
