Hello, 49 and Market Friends,
I hope everyone is feeling jolly because we’re starting Christmas early this year. As you already know I love creating scrapbooking layouts. It is a wonderful way to preserve cherished memories, and the new Evergreen Season collection is a perfect example of how to highlight special moments. This collection has perfect Christmas elements and a perfect cozy color palette that brings together the festive holiday and the comfort of family at the very same time.
I chose the Classic Father Christmas and the Solids 1 and 4 Foundation paper as a background paper. I cut a piece of 6 inches of the Solids 1 and 1 inch of two strips of the solids 4 and glued them making a 6 ½ inches column. The “Fa La La” pattern provides a soft and festive base that complements the more vivid elements on the page. Using light green and red as the background results in a contrast between the photos and the embellishments, this draws the eyes directly to them instead of the background.
I can’t resist using rub-ons on my pages. I added a few before I started layering elements on top of them. I think the transfer effect is perfect, giving even more depth to the arrangement of elements. I used Essential and Botanical at different focal points.
By using layering techniques, I am capable of adding depth to the layout further increasing the contrast. The frames around the photos are from the chipboard sheet that comes with the Bundle package and not only highlight the images but also create a focal point that immediately captures attention. The use of various ephemeras bits and laser cuts like Wildflowers and Elements, such as the festive tickets, poinsettias, and holly, adds to the Christmas feel, making the layout feel rich and detailed.
The arrangement of the elements around the photos, including the use of title and small phrases like “Fa la la la” and “Jolly” from Chipboard words, enhances the storytelling aspect of the page. These additions give context to the photos and convey the joy and warmth of the holiday season.
To finish off, I couldn’t miss a few Bubbles and Baubles and a splash of white acrylic paint enveloping all the elements in a single atmosphere, giving lightness and even more light to my page.
