It’s Rebecca on the blog today sharing a new layout I’ve created with the Color Swatch Willow Collection. Green is my little boy’s favourite colour and we love the outdoors so I knew I wouldn’t be short on photos to scrap with this one!
To begin, I tore a section of Paper #5 and placed it in the centre of a sheet of smooth white cardstock. I love how fresh the green looks against the crisp white.
I adore having lots of layers and dimension on my pages, and the Ephemera Stackers are perfect for creating lots of layers. I selected some pieces, along with some of the Cardstock Frames, and layered them with foam in between. On top of these layers, I placed my square photo.
Around my photo, I embellished with some leaf die cuts from the Laser Cut Elements. Using a straw, I curled the edges of the leaves to create some dimension and make the leaves look more realistic. To the left of my photo, I added one of the die cuts to act as my title.
Wanting to add some more detail to my background, I reached for the amazing Rub-On Transfer Set. I applied a floral rub-on to my patterned paper, and a couple of faded colour blocks ei
To complement the rub-ons, I positioned some acetate leaf sprigs from the Acetate Assortment in the corners. I use my Nuvo glue to adhere these flat as it dries clear so its completely invisible once dried.
Along the top of my patterned paper, I added a lace trim die cut from the Mini Laser Cut Elements and another leafy sprig. I also selected some mini butterflies which I adhered with the wings flapping free to make it look as if they’ve just landed on the page.
To complete the layout, I added a small torn strip of patterned paper and a stitched rub on to the top of the layout. I felt like this finished the page of nicely.
