Good Vibes - Layout by Claire

It’s Claire here and today I have a layout to share with you using the Color Swatch Teal collection. This collection is so beautiful, creating with it is an absolute joy, with vibrant and soft shades of teal and of course those gorgeous leaves and florals that 49 and Market do so well!

I used Paper 5 as my base which includes a subtle printed pattern that adds that extra bit of interest to the background.

To create a base for my design, I chose some of the larger neutral ephemera stacker pieces, overlapping these slightly, one on top of the other in the centre of the page.

From here, I wanted to add some depth, so added foam to the back of two large Frames and adhered patterned paper from the 6×8 paper pack. I selected papers with a paler background and florals on the edge so that they appear to be growing along the edge of the frame. The white space also gives the eye a place to rest when looking at all the other design elements on the layout.

Using two photographs of different sizes, I layered these on top of the frames, adding extra layering pieces behind to create a clustered effect.

Then the bit I love the most – embellishing with those gorgeous florals! I added some rub-ons as a base layer, before building each cluster with acetate leaves and Laser Cuts.
