Sweet – Layout by Michelle Van Oudtshoorn

Hi there!

I have created another layout with the gorgeous Spectrum Gardenia – there are just so many options of creating different projects with all the colours or combining different colour combinations. Here I have combined purple and green to create my layout:

I have used two papers here – the reverse side of the Spectrum Gardena Painted Foundations Trimmings paper – cut down to 11.5″x11.5″, distressing the edges and adhering to Spectrum Garden Solids 6 green paper. The photo was matted with laser cuts from the Essential laser cut elements pack, a frame added from the General laser cut elements pack, and then adhered to the paper with foam tape, at the centre under the photo – these then leave space to tuck in elements and flowers under the photo.

I then began to layer the flowers around the photo to create a flower cluster using Kismet Wildflowers paper flowers and Kismet Florets paper flowers.

Among the flowers, I have added leaves from the Leaves lasercut elements pack, and some elements from the Ephemera Bits pack.

I created a cluster in the top right corner – tearing a v into the top page and using the lasercut safety pin piece (which I cut a bit out, adhering under the curl, to make it look like it had been pinned through the paper) – finishing off with other laser cut pieces and flowers.

I have also added rubons to the page – some down the sides of the layout (6×8 extras rubon pack), and some wording from the 12×12 sentiments rubon sheet, as well as the title, – rubbed onto paper and then fussy cut and adhered to the page with foam tape. There is also a green butterfly rubbed on to the top of the flower cluster on the left from the 6×8 Botanical rubon set.
