Hello, 49 and Market Friends!
I hope you are well! Ready for some more inspiration? Today I’m Valeska bringing you this layout with the classic and wonderful Color Swatch Toast collection.
The earthy tones of this collection are simply amazing, they remind me of sunny days, but also of cozy and reflective days. I registered this moment of mine, creating in my studio, with that grateful smile for so many amazing opportunities.
I decided to print 3 photos on my Canon Selphy, one square that fit perfectly into the frame of the Frame Set and two others that I glued on top of an Acetate Film Strip. I highlighted the larger photo but kept the small ones in focus as well.
In the video I prepared for YouTube, you can see that I started preparing my page. My background paper was paper #3, and on top of it I glued a white cardstock cut out in 7″x11″ and positioned it on the left of the patterned paper. I made a little seam with my sewing machine around the white paper.
In the center of my page, I made layers with some papers from the collage sheets collection, using a piece of chipboard to give the layers more height and relief. Then I glued my square photo and the photos to the acetate strip, and used one of the envelopes from Envelope Bits to hold it.
Soon after I was pasting more acetate filmstrips, laser cut elements and acetate leaves around my photos, decorating, and further increasing the focus to the center of my page.
I also used some butterflies from acetate leaves and glued them in the center, raising the wings, to give this three-dimensional effect.
To make this moment even more meaningful, I used some phrases and the title Cozy from the rub-on transfer sheet from the ArtOption Plum Grove collection. I finished with some details and butterflies from the 6×8 rub-on transfer set from Color Swatch Toast.
And to make everything even more harmonious, I used brown distress oxide ink to make some splashes on the paper.
