Hello everyone,
it’s Rebecca here with you today sharing my first layout created with the vibrant new Kaleidoscope collection. This collection is full of my favourite colours, with pops of black to provide a little contrast. It’s a dream to create with and I know you are all going to love this collection.

I really love using 49 and Market patterned papers as backgrounds – they provide so many details without me having to do a lot of work! The paper I’ve selected for this layout has some gorgeous detailing over to the right hand side, with a mixed media effect to the left. I began by selecting some tickets and journaling style cards from the Ephemera pack, and layering them behind, above and below my photo, taking care to select a mix of colours.
With the layers in place, I added some floral die cuts from the Laser Cut Wildflowers. I always adore the laser cut embellishments because they are so generous and versatile. I selected 2 larger floral clusters and added them going diagonally through my photo. To complement these, I also added some of the acetate leaves from the Acetate Assortment.
For my title, I selected the word ‘happiest’ from the Ephemera bits – partly because I liked the sentiment and partly because the colour matches the blue in my photo perfectly. I added this to the right hand side of my photo to bridge the gap between the photo and the pattern on the background paper. I extended my title by adding the word ‘life’ from the Essentials Rub-on Transfers.
I was really loving how the layout was coming together, and with all the larger elements on the page, I shifted my focus to the smaller details. I’ve used several pieces from the Chipboard set and some rubs-ons from the Blendable Rub-on Transfers. I always find these small finishing touches make a big difference to my layouts.
