Hello fellow 49 & Market Friends!
Nikki back again to show you some fun cards I made using the new Color Swatch Teal Collection. Did you know that with this collection, 49 & Market released a Limited Edition Teal Essentials Project Bundle? In the bundle you get the Teal Acetate Assortment, the Teal Mini Laser Cut Elements, the Teal Ephemera Stackers, exclusive Teal Enamel Dots and an awesome canvas zipper bag. Well when I saw this, I knew I had to challenge myself to see how many cards I could make with just this bundle alone! Let me tell you, it’s a lot!
Since I could keep making cards with these products all day, I figured why not just pick some of my favorites?
Setting out to design these cards I knew I wanted to use the Ephemera Stackers as my base. Layering a few together to cover a standard card front worked great! In other cases, I cut down a larger piece to fit my card front. I love adding that extra detail of cutting the edge of my card to match the rough edges of the ephemera piece. It just makes the look so cohesive.
Next I began putting my clusters together. I knew that I wanted elements from both the Mini Laser Cuts and the Acetate Assortment for each card. It was just a matter of matching up the elements I wanted to use! And then of course adding a ticket or two never hurts.
Quick Tip: If you’re finding it difficult to adhere the acetate pieces without glue showing, use a mini stapler to tack a few of the leaves down. It’s functional and a great way to add interest to your project!
To finish up the cards I added a few butterflies from the Mini Laser Cut Elements. I love how these just seem to finish off the cards. I am so happy with how these cards turned out!
